Homemade Hoisin Sauce

Ingredients

4 tablespoons Shoyu or Tamari US sauce

2 tablespoons peanut butter

1 tablespoon molasses

2 teaspoons seasoned rice vinegar

1 garlic clove, finely minced

2 teaspoons sesame seed oil

1 teaspoon Chinese hot sauce (more or less to taste)

1 /8 teaspoon black pepper


Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a small mixing bowl.

  2. Mix with a whisk until well blended.


 

Compassionate Fun Fact!


Some pot-belly pigs a.k.a. the "Littles" at the sanctuary, have the sauciest meltdowns like Wilbur! He is a soprano, a baritone, and a falsetto, all wrapped into one!


It ain't over until Wilbur sings!!!

Oh wow!! I make vegan Asian meals at least five times a week and I never even thought about making my own hoisin sauce! This is awesome thank you so much for this. I am definitely making this.
