1 block of extra-firm tofu pressed
1 teaspoon of sesame oil
1 tablespoon of olive oil, or you can spray the pan with olive oil spray
2 tablespoons of low-sodium soy sauce
1 tsp maple syrup
1 Serrano or jalapeño chili diced (seeds out)
1 clove of minced garlic
1 lime
Instructions
Heat a skillet with olive oil and sesame oil, add the chilies and garlic, and sauté for about 3 minutes. Crumble the tofu.
Add in the soy sauce and maple syrup and stir for about 5 minutes.
Salt and pepper to taste.
Finish by squeezing over the lime (use half or the whole one, depending on how juicy it is).
Stuff this mixture into butter lettuce cups and top with avocado if you like!
