Strawberries are starting to come in season!
Jane is at Cornell. She has been plagued by chronic hoof infections for the last two years. We had hoped that her time in isolation would allow her hoof to heal, but the infection keeps returning.
Our wonderful veterinarians at Cornell came up with a plan to get rid of the infection for good and allow her to live a normal life by amputating the infected toe. The surgery went well and now she needs to recuperate and heal so she can come home and regain her wonderful quality of life .
The vets and vet techs have been so amazing with Jane and we are sending her Instacart to give her fresh fruits and veggies in her diet. Strawberries are rich in antioxidants and vitamin C, support overall health and can contribute to wound healing. We are planning to provide her with lots of strawberries.
