Handcrafted with Love from the Sanctuary Grounds
This special New Year’s Eve necklace was lovingly handmade by our amazing volunteers Kay and Eileen at Arthur’s Acres, transforming a small but meaningful part of daily sanctuary life into something you can wear close to your heart.
Each charm is filled with the blue twine that arrives wrapped around the straw bales that keep our rescued animals warm and comfortable every day. When we finished making them, we realized something magical — these tiny blue orbs look just like the New Year’s Eve ball dropping in Times Square.
Blue Straw Twine
The vibrant blue twine comes directly from the straw bales used throughout the sanctuary. It represents nourishment, warmth, and the quiet, behind-the-scenes work that keeps our residents safe and comfortable. What once held together straw in the fields is now preserved as a symbol of care, continuity, and community.
Design & Details
Each charm is sealed into a glossy, glass-like sphere and set on an 18” stainless steel chain, chosen for durability and everyday wear. No two charms are exactly alike, each one reflects the natural variations of the twine and the hands that made it.
